The Foundation works actively in the follow-up of cases of those lawyers who are threatened in the exercise of their profession, especially through the International Observatory of Advocacy at Risk (OIAD). Thus, we fundamentally identify cases in which international support for attorneys representing the victims can be a tool to protect the right of defense.
Likewise, another of the main activities is the observation of lawsuits, an area of work in which the Foundation has previous experience. In 2002 the Mission of Legal Observers of the Consejo General de la Abogacía Española, in order to ensure respect for human rights in the Sahara.
