JANUARY 21: EUROPEAN MEDIATION DAY

It coincides with the approval on January 21, 1998 of Recommendation R (98) 1 of the Council of Europe on mediation in the family environment, a resolution that represented a notable boost in the use and promotion of mechanisms for resolving conflicts and litigation for the achievement of friendly agreements and with lower economic and social cost.
