Carné Abogado Europeo
Issued under the license of the Council of Lawyers in Europe (CCBE), it identifies its owner in official languages as a lawyer admitted in the corresponding country.
The new European card is presented printed on a plastic support and incorporates an electronic chip in which a digital certificate of a European lawyer is inserted in accordance with the certification policies recommended by the CCBE.
Who can request the card?
Any lawyer who has the status of Practicing Collegiate in any of the 83 Bar Associations in Spain and who has the nationality of a member state of the European Union can request the electronic European lawyer card.

You can also submit the application in person at the headquarters of the Consejo General of the Abogacía Española at Paseo de Recoletos 7-9, Madrid, from 09:00 to 14:00.
Electronic Certificates
The European Lawyer Card includes the possibility of incorporating a digital certificate that identifies the European lawyer, not only physically, but also digitally.
The activation of the digital certificate has no additional cost and can be done in person at:
- Consejo General de la Abogacía Española: By appointment at the headquarters of the Consejo General de la Abogacía Española, Paseo de Recoletos 7-9, Madrid, carrying with you the previously received European lawyer card.
