The commitment to stability
As of March 30, all contracts must be made in accordance with the provisions of the new norm, which introduces new contractual forms with the aim of reducing temporary employment. Ana Gómez Hernández, president of the National Association of Labor Workers (ASNALA), explains it to us.
ERTEs are here to stay
They were key during the pandemic because they prevented job destruction. And now they are committed to them, facilitating, speeding up their use and providing them with greater legal certainty. In addition, a new mechanism for flexibility and stabilization of employment is created. The key for Mª Jesús Herrera Duque, a partner at Sagardoy Abogados, is to favor adjustment and provide alternatives to extinction.
The cost of hiring
In order to encourage job stability and penalize fraudulent hiring, the new regulations introduce a series of sanctions against abusive temporary contracts. They are detailed by Fabián Valero, managing partner of Zeres Abogados.
