Legislative boost against climate change
On May 13, Congress approved the first Law on Climate Change and Energy Transition in our country. A law that will force companies and citizens to adapt to new ways of producing and interacting. In this issue we analyze some of the most important points of this Law, such as the carbon footprint or the protection and limitation of the use and occupation of the maritime-terrestrial public domain, and other related aspects such as the draft Law on Waste and Contaminated Soils or access to solar energy.

Pending lawsuits, by Antonio Garrigues
Following the forthcoming review, by a group of Italian jurists, of the Dante Alighieri trial that took place in Florence 700 years ago, Antonio Garrigues believes that other cases could be done. He is convinced that "throughout Europe, and therefore in our country, we would find many similar examples and it would constitute an enriching exercise of our history and our culture and above all the reparation of many injustices".
The Spanish duty shift, reference for Jordan in the implementation of his
El Consejo General de la Abogacía is helping Jordan change its free legal aid system. It is a project funded by the European Union, within a program to support the rule of law in that country. Despite the difficulties caused by the pandemic, important progress has already been made.
