Macroeconomic and Budgetary Implications of Covid-19: Some Illustrative Projections

In recent weeks the first data has been published that allow us to begin to quantify the economic effects of the Covid pandemic. This note reviews these data and they are used to build some very tentative projections of the impact that the health crisis could have on the evolution of Spanish GDP and on our public accounts depending on the duration of the economic normalization process that now it begins.
