Recommendations for the legal profession in mediation

Since the entry into force of Law 5/2012, of 6 July, mediation in civil matters
and mercantile mediation is inserted in the profession of lawyer that, aimed at the
defense of the interests of its clients, includes, among others, participation in conflict management processes other than litigation, among which mediation itself stands out - for its efficiency and flexibility.
Lawyers must know the content and scope of the mediation process, as a
tool for customer service, both in its intrajudicial as extrajudicial side.
The purpose of this document is to analyze the intervention of the Legal Profession in the procedure
of mediation for the best defense of the interests of its clients.
