El Consejo General de la Abogacía Española has implemented a Protocol for the prevention and action against sexual harassment, on the grounds of sex and discriminatory in the professional environment. This protocol, approved at the Plenary Session of the Council on June 28, 2024, is now available on the website of the Abogacía EspañolaThe main objective of this protocol is to ensure that lawyers can practice their profession in an environment free from harassment and discrimination.
This document has been distributed among the Bar Associations and the Autonomous Councils of Bar Associations, so that they can ratify it in its application in their respective collegiate field.
As part of the measures established, the Plenary Session held on February 21 has appointed Marga Cerro González as confidential advisor, in compliance with section VIII of the protocol. This figure will play a key role in receiving and processing complaints in this matter.
